(should you choose to accept it)
Vituity Cares is dedicated to giving back to underserved communities and especially those without access to high quality healthcare. That's why we have an amazing group of volunteers who have signed up for the opportunity of a lifetime and care for those most in need. We have partnered with Village Life to provide medical services in rural Tanzania and this May will be the first trip! 100% of donations from this campaign will go towards purchasing the supplies for the clinic (listed below), support volunteer travel costs, and support future trips with Village Life.
STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES, PROFILES OF OUR AMAZING VOLUNTEERS, AND MORE!

Most of us are fortunate to enjoy clean water and access to a doctor whenever we need medical care. Most of us have had the opportunity to receive an education without having to walk three hours to school each day. Village Life Outreach Project exists to unite communities to promote Life, Health and Education. By partnering with the villages of Roche, Nyambogo, and Burere in the Rorya District of Tanzania, East Africa, we are reducing poverty, disease, and malnutrition, and we are improving lives in Tanzania. We are also improving lives here at home. As we expand services at Roche Health Center, we are also enhancing the perspective of healthcare providers and students that work with Village Life Outreach Project. The lessons of love and humanity that transform communities in Tanzania are also making a powerful impact in the lives of our students and volunteers across the country. Through the walls of our office in the University of Cincinnati 1819 Innovation Hub, these lessons are shared with corporate giants like Proctor & Gamble, Cincinnati Bell, and Kroger. They shape those who have traveled with us into global citizens. They bring our communities closer together.
Our work continues only because of the generous voluntary contributions of our friends. Our aim in fundraising is to continue to support our programs in order to unite and uplift Tanzanian communities and our own neighborhoods through service, humanitarianism, and love and compassion.
Life: Access to Clean Water Our Life initiatives lead efforts to improve water quality and quantity in our partner villages. Primarily made up of U.S. engineers, engineering students, and Tanzanian community members eager to tackle the most pressing issue in their communities, the committee has grown to include educators and public health students. We are working to establish solutions to water quality and quantity issues and sanitation challenges. We conduct critical research for determining the most appropriate technologies to provide clean, drinkable water and are working towards a future sanitation system. We use these clean water projects to support the establishment of small businesses to stimulate local economic growth.
Health: Access to Care Roche Health Center provides more than 20,000 villagers with access to permanent healthcare. Since the center opened in 2011, we’ve seen a tremendous impact on the community. Expectant mothers know that Roche is a safe place to receive prenatal and labor/delivery services. Working in collaboration with our on the ground partner, SHED, and the Tanzanian government, thousands of local children have been vaccinated, protecting them against illnesses that kill millions of children across sub-Saharan Africa. Our Health initiatives bring Tanzanians and our students, faculty, and professionals together from the fields of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, allied health, and public health. They work alongside one another to provide the foundation for Village Life’s efforts to improve acute and preventive healthcare. We work with our Tanzania partners to develop educational and prevention programs on malaria, schistosomiasis, and the importance of preparing and drinking clean water. We believe partnership is critical to increase access and improve quality of care for those we serve in Tanzania.
Education: Access to Opportunity The purpose of our Education initiatives is straightforward: overcome obstacles to education, improve educational outcomes and increase global awareness. Participants in Cincinnati and Tanzania are committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn. We are improving access to educational resources, promoting professional development of teachers, and improving the sustainability of our Nutrition Project, which feeds over 3,800 during the week. We also collaborate with many Cincinnati area schools to facilitate cross-cultural competency through art exchange projects and other projects focused on finding common ground for students in Cincinnati and Tanzania.

Village Life is working towards opening a Reproductive and Child Health Center with our Tanzanian partners at Roche Health Center. Vituity and its supporters have a unique opportunity to help improve outcomes in reproductive and child health in Roche, Nyambogo and Burere by supporting this project and meeting some immediate needs of the community.
