During these challenging times, CASA of Middlesex County continues to provide support to children in need. Our efforts are currently being offered remotely for the safety of all those involved. With the closing of schools, canceling of recreational programs, and distancing from friends and family members outside of the home, these children have lost a vital part of their support system and are additionally faced with a new burden of isolation.

Fortunately, CASA is still able to provide advocacy services to these children to help ensure their well-being and safety, but we would like to do a little more to help them smile;  a gift for no reason; a gift to give them hope of the days ahead when they can return to school; a gift of dreams when they can once again play with their friends.

We, the Board of CASA, our advocates, employees and friends will be kicking off a remote Walk-A-Thon to raise money in order to purchase a new pair of KICKS  for each of the 124 children in foster care throughout Middlesex County who are assigned a

Court Appointed Special Advocate.

KICKS for Kids will take place from April 29th to May 15th. We have set an ambitious goal of $6,200 that can only be achieved through your generous donations. Some of us are seeking pledges per mile, some are seeking donations for a specific mile challenge, but all of us will be putting on our KICKS and walking to make a difference in the life of a child.

CASA of Middlesex County is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving abused and neglected children who are living in out-of-home placements. CASA recruits and trains volunteers to advise the courts and advocate for the children’s best interests.

CASA volunteers in Middlesex County have helped children receive the therapeutic services they need to overcome their adverse circumstances and medical attention that would have otherwise been overlooked; they have recommended services for parents to complete so families can be reunified quickly and permanently. CASA volunteers have also helped children living in long-term foster care placements find permanent homes, saving the children years of instability, and the government countless dollars.
