Victory Reins provides equine assisted therapies to special needs children and adults, and severely traumatized youth who have been physically and/or sexually abused and are living in group homes. Victory Reins accepts anyone regardless of their personal need. We are staffed almost entirely by volunteers. Our success with autistic and special needs children and adults has far exceeded expectations and our impact on traumatized youth and as been nothing short of profound. Some of these youth have been human trafficked and have severe trust issues. Working with the horses and the many caring volunteers inspires them to do their best and teaches them to care and to trust again.
Victory Reins has always been self supporting through our programs and many fundraisers. This year due to Covid, we were not able to hold our fundraisers and many of our programs were put on hold. We have been barely getting by financially. Everything changed when we got the devastating news that two of our most loved horses have cancer. One has returning cancer that was thought to be cured, and the other has a small lump on his leg that turned out to be malignant. The cost of treatment will overwhelm our already stressed financial position.
Any contribution to help save our horses and our much needed programs would be tremendously appreciated.
