A veteran was given a 6 year old beagle named Shiloh by his Grandson. Shiloh belonged to a lady who was moving and was not able to take Shiloh with her. Shiloh is the fourth dog that this veteran (Milton) has rescued in 52 years
Milton was in the Army and went to Vietnam at the young age of 18. He served in the Army for four years then went to the National Guard for a short time. He retired as a Sargent. He received the Bronze Star, the Air Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge during his Military Service. He then worked for the Lennox Corporation and retired in 2014.
Shiloh is a female and had a horrific Kidney Stone Blockage and would have died without emergent surgery. The BHS (Bedford Humane Society, VA) helped with our normal allotted amount from our Emergency funds. The BHS is wanting to raise the rest of the funds to cover the entire surgical bill to help out the Veteran who rescued the Beagle. We need to raise $1,000.
