Every year, hundreds of thousands of our men and women put themselves in harm’s way to protect the core principles of justice, fairness, and equality for all of us. After risking their lives for our freedom, our veterans, who are our neighbors, friends, and family members, have earned our deepest respect and appreciation. This is the land of the free, because of the brave.
Sadly, too many of our veterans face challenges that make readjusting back to civilian life difficult. Confronted with unemployment, social isolation, traumatic brain injury, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), thousands of veterans develop substance use dependency to cope with this battle at home. Painfully, thousands more surrender to these challenges and take their own lives.
Since our founding, Veterans Inc. has been committed to helping our veterans overcome these complex issues. Since 1990, our organization has been on the forefront of building a culture we desperately want and need -- a culture that acknowledges and supports our brave service men and women. We have served over 85,000 veterans and their family members in the areas of unemployment, homelessness, and behavioral health.
BUT, we can not do this alone. We need your help.
Stand with us and together, we can create a nation where hundreds of thousands of new veterans returning from service will not have to fight another battle at home, alone.
“They were there when we needed them. We must be there now that they need us.”
