For my birthday charity this year I've chosen the Leukemia & Lymphoma society. This cause hits very close to home--for my loved ones fighting their battle now and for my loved one who is a peaceful angel now. We all know it--simply put--cancer sucks. This organization funds and promotes research, education, support, policy and advocacy. Changes and growth are constantly made in the field and would not be possible if it wasn't for organizations like this.
To the ones fighting and the ones who have fought:
Your strength was always there--it just became more evident than ever during this battle. You are fearless. You are a survivor. You are brave and so, so loved.
To those who choose to donate, share or support in anyway you are able:
THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES OVER! Thank you for supporting and for the best birthday gift. The world is better because you are in it!
All my love,
"The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is at the forefront of the fight to cure cancer. We are the largest nonprofit dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers. Since 1949, we’ve invested nearly $1.3 billion in groundbreaking research, pioneering many of today’s most innovative approaches.
Cancer is a heck of an opponent. It's a bully. But we aren't afraid of a fight.
It's elusive. But our focus never fades.
It's deadly. But we are known cancer killers.Since 1949, we've pioneered groundbreaking research that leads us to believe we will find the cures for cancer in our blood. We were born to defeat this opponent.
We are The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Beating cancer is in our blood."
