VAMA Foundation is a non-profit organization and this campaign VAMA Foundation Humanitarian Aid for Venezuela was created to provide education and assistance in health crisis. During the current COVID-19 pandemia, VAMA 's activities are geared towards educating the public about relevant health issues, staffing medical missions and providing Humanitarian aid. VAMA's activities are supported by the generosity of donors.
VAMA continues to monitor and assist Venezuelan citizens and migrants suffering due to the current health care crisis in Venezuela. Today there is an unprecedent humanitarian crisis and every day it becomes more difficult to access medicine and health care in Venezuela. Insufficient health services, extreme poverty and food insecurity have worsened the state of many diseases and risen the mortality rate. More than 3 million Venezuelans have migrated to the neighboring countries seeking help and the funds of this campaign will support medical missions to help migrants and those still living in Venezuela.
Facts (Data from Codevida): Almost 19 million Venezuelan citizens have no access to diagnosis and treatment, among them 7 million people with hypertension, 3 million people with diabetes, 6 million people with respiratory diseases, 2 million children with diarrhea.
