Team V | 2020 United Airlines New York City 1/2 Marathon
Almost all of us have seen Jim Valvano’s famous speech with the motto, don’t give up, don’t ever give up. That speech started the V Foundation for cancer research. In an effort to contribute to the V Foundation for cancer research, I have registered to run the New York City Half Marathon in March. I need your help to raise funds for the V Foundation for my registration to be accepted.
I will NOT be allowed to run unless I have people donate a total or $1,300 to the V Foundation. NONE of the money goes to me. Simple math means that I need to beg 100 people to give $13 each so that I will be allowed to run. It is a little awkward asking for money. I am telling you thank you in advance. We all have been affected by cancer, and I am nicely asking that you make a small contribution towards the cause of cancer research.
Please help me in passing forward my request to anyone who you feel would be nice enough to donate. For any of you that would be gracious enough to contribute more than $13, I would be happy to recognize you in any special way that I can. If you would like that contribution to honor someone, I will find a way to do that. Just let me know.
Again, it is a little weird asking others to donate to a cause. 100% of the donations go to the V Foundation. I would really like to go run in New York City, but I will not be allowed to participate unless you help me reach the goal of $1,300.
Thanks again. Just hit DONATE and contribute or simply give me the money and I promise it will be donated.
