UTEC’s mission and promise is to ignite and nurture the ambition of our most disconnected young people to trade violence and poverty for social and economic success. Today we serve Lowell, Lawrence, and Haverhill, MA and are nationally recognized as a model agency serving justice-involved young adults.
Our young adults and their children are facing mounting challenges this season, especially because of the impact of COVID-19. UTEC is committed to continuing to pay their stipends and regularly delivery packages of meals, groceries, diapers, and other essential supplies. Our value madd love means never giving up, and now it is especially critical for our Streetworkers, Transitional Coaches, Education Team, and Clinician to consistently engage with our young adults.
Young adults have been transforming their lives for 20 years. Our social enterprise model, education program, free early childhood education, and wrap-around services uniquely positions UTEC to break down many barriers to the success of our young adults. This intensive model also means that, at a time like this, we must intensify our services to make sure the cycle of poverty and violence is not repeated.
