Key Club International is the oldest and largest student-led service program for high school students. Key Club promotes leadership through serving others. Key Club has partnered with the Thirst Project this year and the Utah-Idaho District has set a goal to reach $12,000 by March of 2020. This will be enough funds to build one well and bring clean water to an entire community in Eswatini.
These people have to walk up to four miles every day, carrying 44 lbs of infected, muddy water back to their homes. All this weight causes health problems like scoliosis; drinking the dirty water causes innumerable diseases and kills 6,000 children each day. If we can bring them clean water, disease rates in these communities will drop up to 88% and child mortality will decrease 90% practically overnight. Help us end the global water crisis! All funds will go towards building a sturdy well that will last generations.
