Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance, and for medically complex children, that can be a death sentence.
Meet Stephanie. Stephie is four years old. Because of the brain damage caused by a lack of oxygen at birth, now she has a long list of diagnoses - cerebral palsy, quadriparesis spastic, HIE microcephaly, focal epilepsy, intractable seizure disorder, global delayed development. In addition, she’s severely malnourished. She weighs 14 pounds.
She's frequently getting sick and ends up at the hospital with such a terrible cough that it causes seizures. The doctor says Stephie will end up coming in and out of the hospital until she receives a tracheostomy to remove phlegm and clear her airways. But she's so underweight that she won't be able to handle this surgery.
At this time her mother has requested formula, Reliv nutrition, diapers, wipes and more.
With your help today, we can make a significant impact on Stephie's life! We want to see her sweet cheeks getting plump and juicy soon. Can you help Stephanie?
