We have two children and one mom of a child who are all in need of urgent medical care in our project in Uganda. We are also nearly out of emergency medical funding, so we are unable to help unless we raise funding to cover the expenses. This is where you come in.
The first is baby Grace, who is over two years old but severely malnourished and obviously very ill. Her belly is hard and firm, most likely filled with worms consuming any precious nutrients her mama has scraped up for her. She is in pain, and crying a lot. She needs not only emergency care but we anticipate that she will need longer term assistance through nutrient dense food packets to bring her back to health. We have had several babies like her saved through a combination of medical care and a sponsor coming along side the families to give monthly for these longer term needs. A sponsor can expect to give about $40 a month to provide life giving nutrition to this sweet girl. If you can give once or want to sponsor Grace, please give or contact us at email@example.com
The second is a lovely girl named Harriet who is in the 4th grade at our school. She is the daughter of one of our cooks. Harriet has an unknown condition that is causing her hands to peel, and by the looks of this her fingers are losing circulation which is an emergency. She needs emergency medical care before this goes any further. Please give to this fund to help us get her the care she needs.
The last is our dear junior staff member's mama. Jerome is our junior staff, and he has been identified as a leader at Shikhuyu secondary school of excellence and is a volunteer for our organization. His mama has suffered with Goiter for years and it is now constricting her throat and ability to swallow. She is getting very sick. His father has an extreme case of cancer of the head, and is also very sick but at this time untreatable. The doctors say she needs surgery to survive and thrive. Please, let's not let this need go uncared for. Jerome is the kindest, most giving boy I have met and I cannot imagine how horrible it is to see both of his parents in such agony. We can do something about this.
The $2500 I put as our goal is a rough estimate. It may be less, but most likely more. It's a starting point anyway. Thank you for caring for those who are suffering. Together we can change the trajectory of their lives and alleviate their pain.
