I was never an athlete and some of my fondest memories were the lengths I would go to avoid exercise of any kind. It was last year that I discovered running as a way to manage my lifetime battle with depression. A few months later, I ran the Chicago Marathon, finishing in the top third of the field. After two painful days of regret, I decided I had to do it again just to see if I could.
I couldn't be more honored to be participating in the world's premier marathon and representing an incredible organization that has worked tirelessly to address income equality for over a century.
