UntitledTown Book and Author Festival is a four-day event that draws 3000+ people to downtown Green Bay, Wisconsin. We offer over 100 writing workshops, readings, panels, and book talks for all ages and experiences. From readings by international legends like Margaret Atwood, to talks by homegrown talent Vicky Reed, nearly all events are FREE, OPEN, and ACCESSIBLE to ALL.
A true "People's Festival," our free programming has included writing workshops for veterans, talks by Walter Mosley, papermaking activities for toddlers, and performance poetry with Andrea Gibson. Since 2017, we've offered free events for nearly 4000 children—including 1750 schoolkids who screamed for Goosebumps author R.L. Stine. We also feature professional advice and craft talks for writers of every experience-level and genre.
Our 2020 Festival theme of “Community” raises questions of identity, art, citizenship, caretaking, and craft-making. Programming includes stories of adoptive families, domestic violence survivors, and immigrant experiences— and our first-ever performance-poetry workshop for Spanish-speaking youth. With your help, we hope to keep the Festival connections going year-round with even more free events.
We’re supported by businesses, grants, education partners, and community collaborators. We’re also supported by individual donors like you. Please help us keep our programming FREE, OPEN, and ACCESSIBLE to ALL. Donate during our Leap Day Fundraiser from February 29-March 7. Give, share, ask your employer to match, and spread the word. Since UntitledTown Co. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations are tax-deductible.
