Coaches vs. Cancer family and friends are excited to rally around a $100,000 challenge to raise critical funds for the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge program. Each Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows guests to focus on getting better. Hope Lodge provides a nurturing, home-like environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others. Every Hope Lodge also offers a variety of resources and information about cancer and how best to fight the disease.
Here's how you can support the challenge:
Set up your own fundraiser: If you want to host your own online fundraiser and share it with your network of family and friends you can create and customize your own unique website and help support the challenge by clicking "set up your fundraiser" and following the step by step instructions
Once your page is set up, begin sharing the URL to your page, along with a personal message to your family and friends. Don’t forget to share the link on your social media channels!
*If you would prefer to host an offline, in person fundraiser to collect cash and check donations, you can still set up an online team page and put in any money you collect in-hand as offline donations on your page. (Please contact Anne.Koutoufas@cancer.org so we can connect you with a local staff partner to assist you with offline funds raised)
Make a donation to an existing fundraiser: If you don’t want to set up your own fundraiser you can make a donation to an existing fundraiser, including our general Hope Lodge Challenge if you are not affiliated with a specific fundraiser.
