FSU’s “University of Choice.” Founded in 2016, this campus-wide coalition is made up of students, staff, and faculty with and without disabilities. The UoC works with the Office of Accessibility Services, the FSU Student Government Association, and the Family Network on Disabilities.
Our mission is to make FSU a “University of Choice” for students of all abilities.
We are seeking sponsorship for our upcoming event, “A Conversation with Haley Moss.” The event will be held via Zoom on October 19th at 6 pm EDT as part of Disability Employment Awareness Month celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Ms. Moss is an attorney, author, artist, and a leading advocate for employment policies which embrace disability inclusion and neurodiversity in the workplace. More information is available at haleymoss.net.
Ms. Moss will join the Conversation Series as our fifth speaker. Over the years, we have learned how trailblazers like James Durbin (singer/songwriter), Jim Sinocchi (banker), Eileen Grubba (actress), and Jennifer French (Paralympian) can transform the perspectives of students of all abilities. These role models have tackled personal and professional challenges that we will face as future leaders. As a student with a hidden disability myself, I am very grateful to be enrolled at a university that supports the planning and hosting of these conversations, and I look forward to meeting Haley Moss.
Opportunities like these are not possible without your support. With your sponsorship, we will be able cover honorarium expenses for “The Conversation with Haley Moss.” Any funds not utilized during the event will help further the goals and future success of the UoC. Please consider joining us in our efforts to foster a more inclusive community and to inspire the next generation of leaders with disabilities.
I thank you in advance for your consideration and welcome an opportunity to discuss your sponsorship options.
