United Way takes on the toughest issues in Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle counties in Vermont to ensure that all children achieve their full potential, families are financially stable, and everyone in our community has optimal health and well-being. We do this through the power of community, working across many sectors to design and implement powerful and transformative initiatives like Working Bridges.
Working Bridges is an employer collaborative focused on changing outcomes for workers in Northwest Vermont. We provide resources and opportunities for employees of local companies at their places of employment and help with issues like housing, child care, transportation and substance abuse. Through this, we're helping workers deal with life issues that get in the way of advancing and gain financial stability so they can bring their whole selves to work without distraction. It's a win-win for businesses, employees and for our community.
