Hi everyone - thanks for stopping by! My name is Nicholas and I am running the 2019 Grandma's Marathon. This will be my first ever marathon, and I'm proud to be running it on behalf of the United Healthcare Children's Foundation.
I have decided to set this goal in hopes of inspiring others to give back to an amazing organization that enables children and their families to seek the medical care they need, when they need it. Unfortunately, many families in the United States can't cover the costs of emergency hospital visits, let alone prolonged visits. That's where the UHCCF comes in - since 2007, the UHCCF has awarded 19,000 grants valued at over $48M to help children gain access to health-related services not fully provided by their parents' health insurance plan. None of these grants would be possible without the contributions from UnitedHealth Group employees, sponsoring corporations, and charitable individuals like YOU!
I encourage you to take a moment out of your day to learn more about the UHCCF and the fantastic work they do to provide children and families aross the United States with the medical treatments they deserve. If you are moved to make a donation, please know how much I appreciate your investment and support. Whatever you can give will truly make a difference for the United Healthcare Children's Foundation.
Please reach out to me with any questions you may have regarding the UHCCF or the marathon. I hope to see you all at race in Duluth, MN on June 20th, 2020!
