Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with countries in quarantine and closing borders, the global food supply chain is at great risk as global poverty is expected to increase for the first time in decades—potentially reversing the worldwide fight against hunger and malnutrition. While children are not the face of COVID, they risk being among its most prominent victims, as children’s lives are nonetheless being changed in profound ways. Children of all ages and from all countries are being affected—particularly by the socio-economic impacts and, in some cases, by mitigation measures that may inadvertently do more harm than good.
In the fight against COVID and world hunger, Rajant Corporation has announced a fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. Rajant is to match the audience's donations of up to $25,000 on the event day.
UNICEF has historically worked for the survival, protection, and development of children worldwide since the aftermath of World War II and has saved more children’s lives than any other organization in the world. UNICEF is now working tirelessly with experts to promote facts over fear with COVID. They bring reliable guidance to parents, caregivers, and educators and partner with front-line responders to ensure they have the information and resources they need to keep children healthy and learning.
Rajant’s livestream begins Thursday, November 19 at 9 AM ET. To watch go to
The stream will show the full seven-hour performance of musical artists from around the world.
