This May I will join thousands of other people the weekend of Pittsburgh Half/Full Marathon and more or less stomp around the city in a fast paced neighborhood tour. Also, I will once again be part of the "Run for a Reason" program with Urban Impact Foundation
In addition to running, I am partnering with each person who will donate to the campaign (link below) by matching donations up to my fundraising goal. Every dollar donated =$2 (up to a total of $4,000). Sharing this post/link helps too!
UIF's mission* and holistic approach resonates deeply with me. They offer academic tutoring, a high school transition program, regularly serve meals, and extracurricular programs (athletic/performing arts), all while championing the message of Christ. Not only do the programs empower students in all facets of life, but the team drives their programs to success. I am fortunate enough to know many of the people who work there or regularly volunteer - they are immensely talented and passionate about their work.
Much like running, Urban Impact shows each person in their programs they are capable of so much more than they ever dreamed. Join me in supporting the team that makes it happen!
