Tyler Street Lab evolved from the 2017 Pittsfield Better Block. Then, a year ago, we brought the idea to Working Cities Wednesday to plan for a community space that hosts collaborating social entrepreneurs and non-profits to offer services in the Morningside Neighborhood, open to all. This is one step in what is designed to grow into a space for creativity, hope, and opportunity. Today, we are one step closer to that reality with the launch of the Tyler Street Lab!
We are a group of community members and organizations that are intent on providing community-based enrichment programming and a space to incubate ideas based on entrepreneurship and worker-owned cooperatives. For the community, by the community. We are working off a small starter grant to run the space until June. The core collaborators volunteer their time and money for these programs. Now we have a space, we need your help to continue this effort while we identify other grants and funding sources. Every and any amount helps us get to our goal. Your contribution makes you part of this community led effort and highlights to funders that the space and programming is wanted. Join Us!
