Help us support public school families in DC and Chicago during this time of need.
There is a lot being asked of parents right now. In the wake of public schools closing due to COVID-19, parents are taking on the role of teachers on top of mentor and caregiver. This enormous responsibility requires parents to create routines, provide support and feedback for their children, and keep kids engaged, motivated, and inspired. Multiple barriers prevent parents in low-income communities from being able to efficiently access online resources—and once they do, the amount of information out there is overwhelming.
Turning the Page is serving these communities by providing digital engagement resources, livestreamed events, and one-on-one mobile meetings. To support our programs, we are reaching out to our community for support.
Our goal is to raise $1,000 to support our digital programming for families. Can you help?
Across the past 20 years, Turning the Page (TTP) has developed a system that uniquely engages public school parents as educators through resource-rich programming maximizing parents' involvement in their children's learning. TTP partners with schools and families in Wards 7 and 8 in Washington, DC, and in the community of North Lawndale in Chicago, IL.
