The Stephen Siller T2T Foundation is an organization that for many, many reasons I support wholeheartedly. We all have our own 9.11 story... all I will say is that I know how lucky I am, my family is.. how lucky my babies are, that angels were watching over my dad that day in September.
I have wanted to physically participate in the T2T for a long time, and this was supposed to be the year... I can’t walk (Covid), but I will do my best to fundraise, and to for every day this month go out of my way to do a small act of kindness to honor all of the sacrifices made and lives lost on 9.11.01.
I ask, if you are able, to donate-any little bit is helpful and appreciated. If you aren’t able to donate (and even if you are) try to take the time to think about the entirety of the events of 9.11.. and do something kind for a stranger everyday this month (feel free to keep going too.. ;) ).
This month, When you do these small acts of kindness- think about the “regular people” who kissed their spouses and babies goodbye in the morning and left for work, never to return. Take time to reflect on the first responders who ran into harms way with without question, to give their lives in an attempt to save people they had no connection to- either on that day, or years after. Stop for a moment to think of the families that are still missing their loved ones, every second of the day for the past 19 years..
Now more than ever, we need to love and support each other. Asking this of you, to donate to SSF and to do something kind for no reason other than to honor the memories of 9.11; this is my way of keeping my promise to never forget. 💙❤️💙
