I am running my first ever marathon to raise funds for nutrition research at Tufts. Please donate!
I am one of 50 runners on the Tufts Marathon Team who will take part in the Boston Marathon in 2020.
Since 2003, Tufts Marathon Team runners have raised more than $6.7 million to benefit research on childhood obesity, cancer, hunger/famine, and healthy aging, among other issues, at Tufts' Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. These are some of the most pressing issues in the United States and the world today.
I am proud to be running my first ever marathon with this wonderful team while fundraising for this important cause.
My own journey started with a 10K race in 2015, my final year of high school. I was never much of a runner or any kind of athlete before that, but I fell in love with running while training for that race.
A couple more 10K and half marathon races later, I have found myself training for the Boston Marathon with the indomitable Coach Don at the helm. 2020 will be my last year in Boston, at least for the near future, and I could not think of a better way to conclude my time in this city and at Tufts.
Please consider donating to support my race and the ongoing nutrition research at Tufts! If you are in Boston, please also come down to the finish line on Patriots Day to cheer us on. I will be deeply thankful for your support.
