Transracial Journeys programming supports children, educates parents, and builds community among families who have adopted children transracially.
Black History Month and Valentine’s Day remind everyone to embrace Black excellence, love, and healing. Transracial adoption is an every day journey in embracing Black excellence, love and healing.
Between now and March 31, 2021 – Embrace Love and Healing with the Four 4 February Challenge:
Step 2: Ask 3 other people (friends, family, people touched by your adoption experience, employers, neighbors, etc.) to also contribute.
Your and three additional gifts will strengthen the connections that help children and their families experience safe space to navigate the unique challenges of transracial adoption at a time when they may need it most. You will help Transracial Journeys provide year-round support with monthly virtual offerings. You will ensure that our signature 4-day camp is affordable for families to attend.
Transracial Journeys supports families year-round by:
Encouraging greater cultural competence for parents through monthly newsletters, live chats, and a 4-day summer family camp with nationally renowned speakers for parents and counselor-led programming for children;
Fostering a deeper understanding of core issues of transracial adoption; and
Building community and promoting racial justice and equity.
Your support helps transracially adopted children receive the support they need to understand the complicated circumstances of their lives and have positive identity formation as they grow.
