TRJ's Story
TRJ in Transition - Board Matching Your Donation!
  Aug 10 2020

Transracial Journeys' (“TRJ”) programming supports children, educates parents, and builds community among families who have adopted children transracially. Given the current environment, the TRJ Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person camp scheduled for July 2020.

In the spirit of “never waste a good crisis” and looking for the silver-lining…the cancellation of in-person camp in 2020 ushers in an opportunity for TRJ to bring our mission to life in new and different ways and to build an organization that poised for longevity. In order to do all this, we need your help.

While there are countless needs today and places where your donations would make a difference, we hope you might consider supporting TRJ’s work focused on:

· Encouraging greater cultural competence for parents

· Fostering a deeper understanding of core issues of adoption

· Building community and promoting racial justice and equity

Making a gift to TRJ now will support the organization as we look to continue to provide programming in new and different ways. Your gift will strengthen the connections that help children and their families experience safe space to navigate the unique challenges of transracial adoption at a time when they may need it most.

You will be helping TRJ offer a virtual version of our signature 4-day camp that connects families and children from different parts of the country who are all experiencing transracial adoption.

You will be supporting TRJ’s new path forward with an even more robust camp experience that is affordable for all as well as year-round content and opportunities for community.

Please donate today to Transracial Journey’s Board Matching Donor Campaign 2020!

Please ask if your employer would match your donation.

With gratitude,

Transracial Journeys Board of Directors
