Trilatino Juniors: Our Future Athletes or Future Leaders
I’ve always considered myself an athlete and have always kept myself in great shape however as the years have gone by the urge of competing have been overcome by the urge of being an adult navigating through life’s daily and expectations. Over a year and a half ago a beautiful thing happened, the spirit of my youth returned and the urge of competing came over me...so thus a new journey began. I was reminded how lucky I was growing up in Newark NJ and having the support around me to compete in sports. This lead me to succeed in school through the discipline of sports which eventually lead me to my career in the United States Marines and ultimately achieving my College degree . Today I think back on all of it and say wow, if was not for athletics who knows where this story could have ended up. Not all were so lucky as most know how tough daily life can be for a kid growing up in the other side of a big city. So as I continue my journey I continue to support those who may not have the support I had. Please help me support my team, TRILATINOS as we support our Trilatino Juniors: We invite 15 kids from the South Bronx every year to explore the sport of triathlon. As we are a nonprofit all donations will go directly to the training, equipment and facilities to get them ready to be young motivated triathletes. My personal goal is to bring a program like this to as many urban communities as possible but this is one significant step towards that. Please assist me in getting these 15 children from our underserved community ready for not just sports but for life skills....Discipline, Health and a sense of achievement
