Trellis School serves students who are significantly impacted by autism and other language related disorders and they are committed to helping each child at the school thrive. As parents of Trellis students, we see the results of their work first hand and are eager to help them do more with our second annual online fundraiser.
Funds raised will help fulfill the teacher’s wish list. The money raised will buy items for the classroom and enhance school activities that ultimately improve students learning and growth.
"Last year's fundraiser was such a success! We are so lucky to have dedicated families and friends that are supportive of our mission for our students! The items on our wish list are chosen to enhance our student's learning by providing access to items that will promote independence, foster learning through play for our elementary students and encourage our middle/high school students to participate in functional, vocational, and leisure skills. We love to watch our students grow and the fundraiser allows us to provide more opportunities for our students to shine!" - Erin McGrath, Trellis elementry special education teacher.
Last year the PTO was thrilled to purchase 2 Strider balance bikes, miscellaneous kitchen items and leisure games for the older classrooms. This is just a small example of what we bought.
"Due to the overwhelming donations on last year's Crowdrise, we were able to fulfill many items on our kitchen wishlist. We were able to purchase many appliances and adapted tools to increase independence while cooking. My students love to cook! It is incredible how far they have come with their cooking skills. I have a classroom of little chefs and I am so grateful that we were able to purchase so many items on our wishlist to help them learn how to cook at their level, be safe and show off their skills! Every single dollar is appreciated more than we could ever demonstrate with words. The joy on their faces says it all! Thank you so much!" - Amanda Wingate, Trellis middle/high school special education teacher.
