We were ready for Opening Day and then COVID-19 happened. We sheltered in place and put our 2020 season on hold. Our club house was broken into and someone stole all our snack bar food, drinks, candy, uniforms and equipment! You name it they took it from us. They hit us twice in a matter of days! Once in the middle of the day. This is so sad given our Little League is solely run by volunteers and we do this for our community and kids. The damage to our snack bar and clubhouse is so emotional. We are small league in District 45. We’ve fought back the past couple of years to keep the traditions of our League alive. We’ve been serving our community since 1962 and to have this all taken away from us amidst the COVID-19 is gut wrenching. We don’t have theft insurance, only because we have been financially trying to get ahead and give more opportunities to spend money on the league. I know the damage and the mess is fixable, and I know the material things are replaceable. The thieves can take that away from us but they can’t take away what we give to our community and to our neighborhood. Any help you can give us is appreciated, there is nothing to small or too big at this point.
