Way back in March of 2003, when Full Moon Farm, Inc. was 6 months old, I purchased a 2001 Chevrolet Express 3500 extended passenger van, with rear air, known as BIG VAN for the rescue of 8 animals from Omaha, NE. That van has served us for 200,000 miles and has been in 40 of the lower 48 states with hundreds of rescued animals. She has been a wonderful vehicle, but at 267,000 miles, she is no longer safe to take on long distance rescue transports. We have $7500 on hand, and are finding that quality used 3500 vans are selling for $22,000 to $26,000, plus taxes and tags.
I have been unsuccesful in getting a vehicle donated or even wholesale pricing from any dealer or rental car company that I have approached. :-(
Will you help us keep rolling for rescues with a newer Woofer Wagon?
