For the past four years that the Tournament of Ages has run, hundreds attended, blogged, posted and told their friends about it. It wasn't just Moon Guard that came, other Roleplaying servers found their way to the Argent Tournament Grounds to partake, and for 2016's ToA, Tendael and Aeriyth found themselves wondering if the Tournament could draw attention to Blizzard's favourite real-life foundation, Make-A-Wish. It was a success, with over $1,000 raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and so we've continued that tradition. 2017 saw the same result, with over $1,000 raised for the USO. This year, we hope to raise $1,000 for Direct Relief, a humanitarian non-profit with an amazing reputation for providing life-saving aid to victims of natural disasters and other emergencies, as well as medical aid to impoverished around the world. We've seen some shocking hurricanes recently, and many still struggle to recover and go without electricity or clean, running water. Just as the Tournament of Ages brings all of our characters together to enjoy the revelry, it can bring us together to effect change in the real world.
How does the raffle work?
When you make a donation, set your display name to your in-game name and check the box to display donation publicly, and submit! The minimum donation amount on their platform is $10, so you will receive 1 ticket for every $10 you donate.
Each donor will receive a number on a spreadsheet (some of you may have used this system before!) and you can find the sheet HERE. The drawing will be streamed.
You can only win once! The Art badge packs offered by Mischi will be tailored to the faction of the winner, so if two Horde or two Alliance end up winning -- fear not! One of you won't end up with a hard-to-explain Horde set.
When does the fundraiser end?
The fundraiser closes at 11:59 CT, August 10th. The drawing will occur during the Wonderlight Ball on August 11th.
