I have been wanting to run a Tough Mudder for a few years now. I talked about it so much, Gabe (my husband) even agreed to run it with me. Mind you, he is not crazy about running let alone running and tackling obstacles :) 2018 is our Tough Mudder year!! The Michigan Tough Mudder falls on June 2 this year- our 8th wedding anniversary!!
I am so excited to run this super tough and fun race with my best friend in celebration of 8 years of marriage! What could make this better?
Gabe and I are honored to be running on Team Marley's Mutts!
We chose to run for Marley's Mutts and raise $2,000 for them becuase we have a soft spot for dogs that need a second chance.
All 3 of our dogs came to us from situations that were less than perfect and if we had not stepped in, they would have gone to a shelter. None of our dogs came to us perfect- they all had some not so great habbits and behaviors. We were able to put in the time necessary for them to excel and flourish in our family and we love them all deeply.
We realize that situations arise that prevent everyone from being able to keep every dog that comes into their life and that sometimes you just can't keep the dog that doesn't come preprogrammed for optimal behavior ;) We are pleased to partner with Marley's Mutts to offer dogs in shelters good training, foster homes and other valuable assistance that gets sometimes forgotten pups a second chance at a furever home. While this charity works on a different side of the country, we still wish to support them. The pups that Marley's Mutts helps are waiting on death row in shelters that euthenize.
We do have a desire to help pups locally, however our local shelters are primarilly "no kill" and we happily donate toys, food and time with those pups. We feel our funds will help save lives with Marley's Mutts and we would love to have you come along side us to SAVE THE PUPS!
