Hello Family and Friends!
So on Januaury 12, 2020 I have decided to go outside of my comfort zone to help support a cause that means so much to me. I will be swimming in the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim which is a 5K open water swim across Tampa Bay. I will be raising money for the Navy SEAL Foundation. All proceeds from this event will go directly towards fallen SEALs and their families, who gave the ultimate sacrifice to help protect our country.
Although I swam in college and competed in numerous triathlons... I have never swam with such purpose as I am going to do on January 12th! My goal is to raise as much money as I can for the Navy SEAL Foundation. Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated! Please help me show the SEAL community how much we care!
As many of you know my brother served this country for 25 years, and recently retired from being a Navy SEAL. In those years he unfortunately had so many teammates, who were injured or who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving this country. For the past 10 years he has swam in the Tampa Bay Frogman, to help raise money for the Navy SEAL Foundation to assist with the warriors and their families.
I want to let families of the SEAL Community know that there are so many people out there who will never forget the sacrifice that their loved one gave. For years I have wanted to show my brother, how much I respect and appreciate what he has done for our country! There isn’t much I can do as his sister, to really show him how much I respect what he has done, not only with his life, but also with the amount of time and effort he has dedicated towards raising money for the SEAL community……so I decided to participate this year in the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim to help raise money for the Navy SEAL Foundation ! My goal is to raise $5000.
When my high school swim coach, Mike Troy, a retired Navy SEAL in Vietnam died earlier this year….it also gave me another reason to do this swim. He would be shocked that I am back in the water….but would love the reason I am doing it!
