As a family we’ve been enriched by two main life experiences: Raising Guide/Service dogs and challenging adventure pursuits. We just relinquished our fourth dog, Star, to Doggie University where she will learn the top notch skills needed to become a Guide/Service dog. Since we are with the MacDill AFB puppy raiser group Star will be going to a soldier in need. Empty without her, but knowing she’s off to do great things, we’ve decided to hit the road again but instead of adventuring for just the fun of it we’ve decided to combine our two loves, utilizing one to help the other. We have fallen in love with the Southeastern Guide Dogs organization. They work miracles and we’ve been able to witness what an exceptionally run program it is. They are currently updating the campus to facilitate the most optimal experience for the dogs and the people that will become their forever partners. Stop by and visit or check out their website. You can see all the new puppies in the nursery and read stories about the beautiful dog/people partnerships SEGD facilitates. As our family attempts to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania we ask you to challenge us to go higher and higher until we reach the 19,500 ft top of Africa by donating today to Southeastern Guide Dogs. Your donation will motivate us while also helping blind/visually impaired people change their lives with the help of a constant and happy companion. Our motto for the climb has been “Your attitude determines your altitude”. As Floridians this climb will be quite the challenge for us. If you’d be so kind to donate today we will use it to motivate ourselves to reach the top where we promise to photograph our SEGD Top Dog T-shirts at the top of the world. Not only will your vote of confidence keep us going you will also be helping incredibly talented dogs find their forever person. As a team these dogs and their blind/visually-impaired persons will together conquer the world.
The expedition team,Team Kilimanjaro,we are climbing with supports charity hikes. They will donate back a percentage of what is raised which means your donation is worth more. They will advertise our fund raiser on their site too. So if you love dogs, people, the Toto song about the rains in Africa or just want to give Toby the motivation to climb a mountain whose name he is highly uncomfortable with please consider donating. Every little bit will help, just like each small step will get us to the top.
Thank you, The Elozory Family
