Spring is usually a busy time at ToolBox Project. Library shifts are busy with members coming in to snag garden and home repair tools -- everything they need to repair whatever broke over the winter. Every shift, it feels like across Lane County folks are coming out of winter hibernation and ready to get outside and get creative.
But not this year. ToolBox Project closed the tool library on March 16th to help flatten the curve. Additionally, we had to cancel our spring Fix-It Fairs.
Financially, this closure has been hard on our small organization. Revenue from membership donations and tool rental fees is crucial to our budget, especially during spring, normally our busiest time.
We cannot wait to be able to re-open and share tools with all of you. But we need your help now so we can help you down the road. Please consider joining thousands of people on Tuesday, May 5th, and giving to the organizations that matter to you. Please give to ToolBox Project.
ToolBox Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit tool lending library serving Lane County and beyond. We share home repair and garden tools with the community so we can all build and grow together.
ToolBox Project also co-hosts the Fix-It Fairs, local events promoting reuse and repair. We are committed to making sure that everyone in our community has access to tools and the resources they need to repair their homes, start a garden, and build stronger communities.
