The 2019-2020 school year has truly been tough, even more so for our senior class. They started their year off with the loss of a fellow classmate and friend and have continued to push through. Now they are facing yet another challenge, COVID-19. Due to this horrific epidemic, these amazing young men and women aren’t going to have some of the same experiences that former senior classes at HHS had. One of the things our senior class would usually do is go to all of the elementary schools and the middle school to parade the halls in their caps and gowns. This gives them the chance to see their former teachers, as well as show the younger students what to look forward to. Again, due to COVID-19, they will not get the opportunity to celebrate in this way. The staff at Hancock High School have come up with an idea to hopefully give students an alternate but very similar opportunity as the parade of district schools, but we need your help. In order to implement this “surprise” for our seniors, each of us at HHS will be sponsoring 1 of our 300 seniors, and we hope you will join us in celebrating them by sponsoring 1, too. To sponsor one senior, please consider donating $45 or any other amount to help fund this recognition. Any and all donations will help. The “surprise” we have been working on will be something the senior class, their families, as well as our community, can enjoy while still social distancing. We hope you can support the Hancock High School Class of 2020. Hawk Pride!
