TMHA’s Wellness Centers are not only raising money for our annual Bowl-a-Thon, but we are celebrating some wonderful news. Our Program Manager, Meghan Madsen, was recently selected for the Women’s Wall of Fame by the San Luis Obispo County Commission on the Status of Women. While Hope House, Safe Haven and Life House are not entering teams in this year’s event, we want to collect contribution on this page for a great fundraiser that supports SLO Hotline and other TMHA programs. Please consider making a donation in Meghan’s honor!
Bowl-a-Thon began as a fundraiser for SLO Hotline in 1981. SLO Hotline is a suicide prevention, crisis intervention, resource referral and emotional support line, staffed by volunteers and employees 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Make the call any time at (800) 783-0607. Transitions-Mental Health Association has operated SLO Hotline since January 2010. It remains the only free service of its kind in the area, and it has been a particularly precious resource to those that TMHA serves: our friends and family who have a mental illness.
The TMHA Wellness Centers are not forming a Bowl-a-Thon team this year, but we are enthusiastically soliciting donations for this wonderful event!
