As many know, this is a new journey for us. I was diagnosed with a rare, fairly unknown form of ovarian cancer in May 2019. It's called Recurrent Granulose Cell Tumors of the Ovaries (GCT). While I am blessed to never have to do chemo, since it has no effect on these types of cells. It is recurrent meaning I go for testing every 6 months to determine if another surgery would be needed to remove any thing found.
Currently I have 2 masses and a cyst they are watching. I have started down a health and wellness road to try and stay as healthy as possible through my testing. I have lost 55 pounds so far, and hope to double that in the next year! This walk is just the start of my journey and would love for all of you to join me. Not just on the road to healthy living, but to help spread the word about Ovarian Cancer Awareness!! It's lesser known, and often over looked. Come join and support my team to let all women know the importance of being an Ovarian Cancer Advocate for themselves and others!
