Since the NYC Triathlon got cancelled, I’ve decided to sign up for another equally crazy human feat — the legendary NYC Marathon.
Inspired by the incredible marathon-finisher Anita Kalonaros, when TIME’S UP called for runners, I answered.
TIME’S UP is an organization that insists on safe, fair, and dignified work for women of all kinds.
I’m running for all those who have been harmed in the workplace by harassment, discrimination, or inequity (including myself) and all those who will unfortunately suffer this reality. I am running so that our sisters and daughters can live and work in a better world than we do.
Follow along on my journey to 26.2 — I’ll be documenting both the fun runs and the grueling ones, the moments I don’t think I can take another step and the ones where I feel like I’m Allyson Felix. I've gotten to explore some really incredible places through my runs and develop an even greater appreciation for my city.
I’ll also be doing an interview series with some of the badass female runners who manage to do it all to get advice personally, professionally, and marathon-ally.
Please make a donation if you can! And if you have a little extra, send it over to my training/torture partner, the one and only Christena Pyle (boss lady and Executive Director, Advertising, TIME’S UP).
Also, make a funny sign and come cheer us on.
