Very exciting news! It’s happening!….after more than 30 years of innovative timber framing courses at the Yestermorrow School, we are now – for the first time* – undertaking a small (but permanent!) timber frame structure on campus.
We are so pleased to announce the restoration of the Arches area at the South Studio entrance to campus, and the introduction of a new timber frame outdoor classroom space within it. We have harvested timber, milled it, hewed it and shaped it. Last week our students, instructors and staff put the finishing touches on the wood construction and the frame was lifted into place. With each bent, our collective dreams become a reality.
To the greatest extent possible, we would like this structure funded by and dedicated to the timber framers of Yestermorrow. The purpose of this fundraiser is to ask for your much needed help.
From the inside, you’ll look up into the rafters and see the names of all who donated emblazoned in wood, of all the classes and students that have participated to make it possible: an accumulation of knowledge and passion. A new classroom space, a new place to look up at the model over-head, and build under it, a living representation of what our students are learning.
Join us by helping fund this bold step into the future of sustainable learning, and outstanding campus experience and the sharing of knowledge of how to live and build together and care for the planet at the same time.
Thank you for giving a gift to Yestermorrow. We are a non profit, 501(c)(3) educational institution and your gift will be acknowledged as a charitable contribution in compliance with IRS regulations.
