This year marks the thirty first and the last year of RedSpoke, Redmond Rotary’s annual cycling ride across the state of Washington. Funds from this ride go directly to the Redmond Rotary Foundation for all our projects local and international. Also we have a million dollar water and sanitation project under construction in Ethiopia that will provide water and sanitation to tens of thousands of people. Our club set aside funds for this project from previous years’ RedSpoke rides along with 25 other clubs around the US. I’ll be traveling to Ethiopia in the fall to celebrate the completion of this project. This year is also very special for me. RedSpoke started when I was president of our club. We have raised over one million dollars from donations and have reinvested those funds in our communities. I have been on most of these rides, either as a rider or as a support person. I’ve only missed a couple. The needs of our communities haven’t changed. Kids still need scholarships to attend college, children still need safe places to play and learn, and families still need support to make it through hard times. On the international side we are so close to eradicating Polio. It has taken decades, but this year’s number of cases is shrinking with none so far in all of Africa. Please join me in supporting Redmond Rotary’s Foundation by making a donation for my ride. Donations can either be made online or by sending a check to me made out to the Redmond Rotary Foundation. The Redmond Rotary Foundation is a 501C3 corporation and all contributions are 100% tax deductible. In these tough economic times, many need assistance. We’ll all be better off next year and those we help will too…. Thank you for your support….. Tim Arnold 7522 Maxwelton Bch Ln. Clinton, WA 98236 360 579 0501 (h) 425 246 3130 (c)
