Last Wednesday, March 25, the 3RBB saw a record number of people turn out for not just our produce distribution but for non-perishable food supplies as well.
With the COVID 19 emergency, staples and non-perishable food items are in short supply. This last week, our drive through distribution served over 190 people and our refrigerators and shelves are literally bare! We gave out all we had.
We have requested increased allocations from both Foodlink and Central California Foodbank and we will continue to serve our community as long as we have the resources to do so.
This is a time for Three Rivers to do what it does best - Circle the Wagons. All foodbanks and pantries have received a mandate from the USDA, we cannot accept donations of food items - of any kind; we can only accept monetary donations. (rest assured your donation will be used to purchase non-perishable food items, canned vegetables and canned protein like chicken, tuna etc.)
We understand that this is a difficult time for all of us and we wish we could do more to help. If you are able, please support this vital community outreach.
