Christmas is the time of year filled with joy and giving. This year, you have the opportunity to give a gift that lasts a lifetime, the gift of a CASA volunteer to an abused or neglected child. On average, children with a CASA volunteer spend significantly less time in foster care, do not re-experience abuse, and are placed in a safe, permanent home.
This year CASA was able to reach the milestone of thirty years in service. That means that for thirty years, children in your community have been given the gift of a voice.
“It is not the presents that make Christmas so special; it is the presence of those you love, whether they are with you in person, or spirit.”
You can be present in a child’s life, whether you are able to be with them in person, or in spirit. You can give the gift that lasts a lifetime by becoming a CASA volunteer, or making a donation to continue the services of CASA of Southwestern Illinois. 97 children are waiting.
It costs $1000 per year to assign a CASA to a child. Can you spare $2.73 a day?
