The Santa Clara Women's Basketball Program, in partnership with The American Cancer Society, is hosting their annual pink game on February 8th, 2020 vs. Pepperdine University @ 2pm in the Leavey Center. All donations will help in the search for a cure of the disease that affects so many women and families worldwide.
According to The American Cancer Society ,"The female breast cancer death rate peaked at 33.2 (per 100,000) in 1989, then declined by 40% to 19.8 in 2017. This progress reflects earlier detection (through screening, as well as increased awareness of symptoms) and improved treatment, and translates to an estimated 375,900 fewer breast cancer deaths than would have been expected if the death rate had remained at its peak." These early detection methods would not be possible with out the extensive research that has been made possible through donations.
Any donation helps; your dollar could be the one that finds a cure.
"This charitable partnership and its use of student-athletes' names, images and appearances meet all NCAA requirements, and have been approved by the Santa Clara University Compliance Office."
