Every day now we're seeing more and more litters of puppies and kittens - some abandoned, some orphaned, some sick and some simply unwanted. They're coming through the doors in record numbers.
Routine veterinary care for just one litter of puppies or kittens can run as much as $1,000! They have to be vetted, vaccinated and spayed or neutered, and that's just the routine expenses. If they get sick or injured, the cost of caring for them can easily double or triple.
Thanks to our early donors, we qualified for the $1,000 matching donation from Go Fund Me and you'll see it posted right here any day now.
In the meantime, we have had some tough cases come in the last few days, and the Giving Tuesday Now campaign runs for another 48 hours, so we're going to continue on and see if we can cover some of their vet costs, too.
For those of you who have already donated, thank you very much! Your support is appreciated and we'll try to post updates on everyone you've helped.
