Meet my older brother, Max: a 26-year-old man with a passion for helping senior citizens, being a chef, and knowing everything about Glee! Max also has Down syndrome. Our aging processes will likely be very different, and I am worried about how little is known about aging and cognition in adults with Down syndrome. There is enormous untapped opportunity when our society neglects to aid disabled persons from realizing their full potential!
That is why I am running the Pittsburgh 13.1 this May in support of the LuMind RDS Foundation, which develops new opportunities and independence for people with Down syndrome through emerging science. You can show your support for this cause by donating or spreading the word!
