The mission of our 501 (c) 3 non-profit ministry is to transform rural schools and communities in Jamaica by providing schools with educational supplies and sponsorships, community residents with necessities and completing improvement projects.
We have been working to make a positive impact in schools and communities in Jamaica since 2015 which is why we are so excited about constructing our first rural community resource center and we need your help to do it!
We will be building in the rural community of Higgins Land, St. Ann, Jamaica on land generously donated by Noranda Bauxite Partners. Construction will begin in June 2020 with the first phase of the center officially opening in June 2021.
Our goal is to bring generations together and provide long term transformation through this resource center which will have a library, computer lab, a community garden, play area for the community children and flexible function space for trainings, workshops and other purposeful community events.
This resource center will be the first of it's kind in this community which still does not have centralized services such as running water. It will be a positive, educational and inspirational place for both children and adults. The children will have a place for after school activities, weekend and summer activities.
The center will be managed by community appointed volunteers with oversight from The Jamaica Project USA.
Let's build something together that will positively impact this community for generations to come! Yeah Mon - One Love!
