New York City is the theater capital of the world. Unfortunately, our home has also been the worldwide epicenter of the devastating COVID-19 pandemic.
The disease is affecting beloved members of our theater and entertainment community as well as our neighbors, friends, and families. In past moments of crisis, the theater has been a refuge and a place for healing. Given the unique realities of this pandemic, the best way to heal is for our theaters to remain closed for the time being. But the spirit of generosity in our community is strong, and we must rally together to help our city.
The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the greatest challenges New York has faced. But while this crisis is tough, New York is tougher. To rise together, we must work together.
Our mission: to inspire 1,000,000 New Yorkers to give $10 each to help their neighbors in need.
Join other big-hearted New Yorkers in raising funds for those hit hardest by COVID-19: the 1.8 million New Yorkers already living in poverty, and the many others who, overnight, found themselves on the brink of it.
Robin Hood will direct 100% of the funds you raise to the poorest New Yorkers’ most urgent needs: food, shelter, cash assistance, health and mental health, legal services, education and more. Together, we can make sure the New York we return to is once again the strong, resilient city that lifts up ALL its citizens.
