My name is David (Dave) Alcorn, and I will be walking with another Texas A&M graduate, John Ball from Athens Greece to Oslo Norway. We are both retired Air Force Colonels.
Here is our Web page: http://thewalkingaggie.com
John already walked across the US from California to Florida in 2015 raising money for an Endowed Aggie Ring Scholarship for students that are former Veterans. He has decided to do it again and this time asked me to join him. I agreed so this will be my first long walking adventure. Wish me luck:)
We will will begin our walk in Athens on 7 January 2019 and walk up to Milan Italy ending on 13 March. Due to Schengen Visa travel restrictions we will be taking a 90 day break and return to the states. We will fly back to Milan and start the walk again 13 June and will finish the walk in Oslo on 4 September.
This time while walking we would like to give our friends, family and anyone else who follows along a chance to donate to to the Red Cross or the Gary Sinese Foundation. As a Red Cross volunteer I've seen first hand the positive impact the Red Cross is making on lives affected by Hurricane Michael. I believe any amount of donation can help and by walking from Athens to Oslo I can raise awareness and financial support for the Red Cross as well as the Gary Sinese Foundation which supports the military and first responders.
