The Urban Choral Arts Society is a free program dedicated to improving the achievement and esteem of Baltimore area youth through choral music and cultural arts. We seek to build a community of artists, preserve music of the African diaspora, and empower youth with competitive artistic skills for innovation. For the third year in a row, our group has been invited by the Cantilena Chamber Choir to perform at their annual MLK concert in January. This experience is vital to our mission of preparing our students for their future in music and a lifetime in the arts, whether it be professional or for pleasure. Because we offer free programming to our students, we must regularly raise the funds to offer them the best experiences possible. In order to make it to Lennox this year we need to raise enough money to pay for our bus, hotel, and dinners for 2 nights for 12 students, their mentors, and chaperones. We hope that you will help us get the group to Lenox to honor the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. through the wonder of song. We greatly appreciate all donations, big and small!!
